Common Data Model (CDM)
The Common Data Model (CDM) is the shared data language used by business and analytical applications. It consists of a set of a standardized, extensible data schemas published by Microsoft and our partners that enables consistency of data and its meaning across applications and business processes.
CDM provides reference architecture that's intended to streamline this process by providing a shared data language for business and analytical apps to use. The CDM metadata system makes it possible for data and its meaning to be shared across apps and business processes such as Power Apps, Power BI, Dynamics 365, and Azure
